Folic acid (vitamin B9)

Olimp Folic Acid is a dietary supplement containing 400μg of folic acid per capsule. Folic acid (vitamin B9) has many functions in the body and is indispensable for its proper functioning.

The active form of folic acid is a cofactor in enzymes involved in the synthesis of essential substances for the functioning of cells, such as DNA and RNA. It is precisely for this reason that sufficient intake of folic acid is particularly important during the development of the fetus when there is a formation of numerous tissues and bone marrow. In addition, folic acid provides a substrate for the synthesis of adrenaline, noradrenaline and thyroxine.
