Potassium for athletes

Olimp Potassium is a nutritional supplement containing potassium. Although all minerals are important for maintaining health, potassium has special significance for athletes. Together with sodium, it works in sodium / potassium pump, which, in addition to other things, regulates the flow of water into and from cells. The sodium / potassium pump allows the passage of sodium from the cells and potassium into cells, thereby maintaining the electrolyte balance in cells and blood.

Potassium is the main cation in the intracellular fluid, while sodium is the main anion in the extracellular fluid.
